概要
| 学修到達目標 | A. Students will learn customs and communication styles for business. B. Students will learn how to express their appreciation and respect for the differences among peoples of various cultural backgrounds. C. Students will learn to interpret and interact with non-verbal and verbal communication among peoples of various cultural backgrounds. D. Both form and answer detailed questions about themselves, their studies, and their future in a job interview situation. E. Give a detailed description of a product or a process using graphs and data. Students should learn vocabulary (verbs describing change) and transitions. Students could do simple descriptions/comparisons of products (e.g. smart phone functions, PC, cars, etc.). F. Students will learn to comprehend and express other people’s ideas and opinions, particularly for business purposes such as asking and answering questions during business meetings, and synthesizing multiple perspectives for TOEIC questions and related business communications and manners. G. This English Communication II course is scaffolded for helping students achieve higher levels of receptive and productive English abilities than in the English Communication I course. |

| 履修条件 | 1. English Communication IIは社会コミュニケーションサブメジャーコースの指定設置科目で、このサブメジャーを取る学生はEnglish Communication Iと共に履修しなければならない。2. 教職免許を取る学生はEnglish Communication Iと共に履修しなければならない。 3. その他の学生は、English Communication IとEnglish Communication IIの両方をI・IIの順で履修することが望ましい。前期のみまたは後期のみ履修することは可能ですが、特にEnglish Communication IIのみ履修する場合、担当教員と相談 |

Students will decide their own topics for conversation, research their topics, prepare their own conversation materials, and take notes for improving the ways to express themselves in English. The teacher will also bring original materials related to the course theme. この授業に参加する学生は自分で会話のトピック、調査のトピックを決め、会話のために必要となる資料を自分で準備する。英語で表現力を豊かにするために、ノートを取る。担当教員はコーステーマに沿った資料を配布する。

4 レポート (各レポートともに最低 200 単語) = 40% 4 口頭発表 (各発表ともに最低2 分間) = 40% 研究ノートブック = 20% 4 written reports (each at least 200 words) = 40% 4 oral reports (each at least 2 minutes) = 40% Research notebook = 20% 課題の提出期限を守らなかった場合は、最低で50%の減点、また遅滞日数によっては それ以上の減点とします。 If you submit assignments late, then the grade will be reduced at least 50%, maybe more depending on how late it is. グループ学習作業への参加率が著しく劣るメンバーは減点対象となります。 Student s who do not participate fully in group work will receive reduced points. いかなる盗作、著作権の侵害も認めません。他人から写したいかなる課題、プロジェ クトを提出した場合、またはそのような不正行為に加担した場合には0%とし、単位取得が不可能になる場合もあります。 Plagiarism will not be tolerated. If you cheat on any assignment, you and those collaborating with you to cheat will receive 0% and may fail this course. |

We are here to help each other. ライティングや発表のために担当教員の学習指導を希望する場合は(1)事前に面談予 約をし、(2)友達と一緒に来てください。プロジェクト締め切り直前には面談予約が殺到し、予約が取れない場合があります。早め早めに予約を取るようにしてください。友達と一緒に学習指導を受けることで第三者からの意見を聞くことができ、バランスの取れた内容にできます。 To visit your teacher for writing and presentation consultation, (1) make an appointment ahead of time, and (2) bring a friend. Make your appointments early in the semester because many students wait until the last minute so the schedule fills up by then. Bring your friend to help to get a third-party perspective. |
