概要
| 学修到達目標 | 前期に学んだことを踏まえて正確な英文読解力を身につけることに加えて、英文の大意を把握する力を養う。後期はリスニングとリーディングとの相乗効果を体得する意味で毎回リスニングのドリルも行い、TOEIC L&RのＩＰテストでの高得点獲得を目指す。 |

| 授業形態及び 授業方法 |
テキストDifferent Histories では本文の内容を把握し、Exerciseをきちんと行うことで、読解と文法の習得を徹底する。ＣＤ付のSocial Issues in Contemporary World は各ユニットのリスニングのドリルに答えを出していくことで、リスニングに慣れるだけでなく語彙習得・内容把握も学習する。また12月には、テキストのほかに、TOEIC L&Rの問題演習を行う。 |
| 履修条件 | 受講者は12月19日に実施予定のTOEIC L&R IP受験が義務です。 |
授業計画
| 第1回 | 授業内容、テキスト(2冊）の使用、TOEIC Ｌ＆Ｒの取り組み、成績評価などについて解説と以下の学習をします。 テキスト１）Social Issuies in a Contemporary World (『リスニングで学ぶ現代の社会時事』）:Unit 1 section 1 のドリルの答え合わせ。テキスト２）Different Histories:Chapter 7 : Isamu Noguchi and the Internment of Japanese-Americans 内容把握の為の解説。 |

理解度確認試験 [50%]、TOEIC L&R IP [20%]、平常点（小テスト＋ドリルの学習度＋課題） [30%] 授業回数の1/3以上欠席した場合、成績評価の対象から外されます。 |

英語力の向上・習得には、毎回の授業への積極的な取り組みが非常に大切です。 ２つのテキストの予習をきちんと行うことで、6か月間ではありますが、リスニングとリーディングが、別々のものではなく、相互に関連し合っていることをぜひ体得してください。そして、TOEIC L&R（ＩＰテスト）では、前期の得点を大きくステップ・アップさせることを 期待しています。 |
