概要
| 学修到達目標 | この授業では、 ア) 聞く力と話す力を強化すること イ) メールの書き方を学ぶこと ウ) 意見を英語で言えるようになること エ) 語彙力を強化すること オ) 英語を使う国の文化を学ぶこと、 を目標とします。またこの授業では英語弁論大会のための準備を行います。 Goal=Be confident and fun when speaking in front of a group The goals of this course are for students to a) improve listening and speaking skills, b) learn to write emails well, c) learn to give opinions, d) improve knowledge of and use of vocabulary, and e) to learn about English-speaking cultures. This course will also prepare you for the annual speech contest so that you can win prizes and 学術講演会! |

| 授業形態及び 授業方法 |
受講者にはグループで、ペアで、または一人で、話す、聞く、読む、書くためのさまざまな練習や語彙強化のトレーニングをしてもらいます。 Five simple presentations in Lessons 1-5 will help you build skills for more developed presentations in later lessons. You will do various listening, speaking, reading, writing, and vocabulary building activities in small groups, in pairs, and individually. |
| 履修条件 | 1. English Communication Iは社会コミュニケーションサブメジャーコースの指定設置科目で、このサブメジャーを取る学生はEnglish Communication IIと共に履修しなければならない。2. 教職免許を取る学生はEnglish Communication IIと共に履修しなければならない。 3. その他の学生は、English Communication IとEnglish Communication IIの両方をI・IIの順で履修することが望ましい。前期のみまたは後期のみ履修することは可能ですが、特にEnglish Communication IIのみ履修する場合、担当教員と相談して下さい。 |

| 第2回 | Mini-presentation 2: The details. Details and examples bring life to the topic. The details are the entertainment. The Announcement Speech. |
| 第3回 | Mini-presentation 3: The introduction and hook. These are the start of good conversations and speeches. The Speaker Introduction Speech. |
| 第4回 | Mini-presentation 4: The conclusion and message. A conclusion is a review which ends with a message that people will remember. The Opening Speech. |
| 第5回 | Mini-presentation 5: The 3-5 minute speech. Most speeches are quite short. A five minute speech has an introduction, a body of 2-3 points, and a conclusion. The Closing Speech. |
