概要
| 学修到達目標 | Goal=Improve your English The goals of this course are for students to a) improve listening and speaking skills, b) enjoy listening to different genres of music, c) learn to give opinions (spoken and written), d) improve knowledge of and use of vocabulary, and e) learn about English-speaking cultures. |

| 授業形態及び 授業方法 |
Various listening, speaking, reading, writing, and vocabulary building activities will be done in small groups, in pairs, and individually. Intermediate and advanced proficiency speakers of English may be given more challenging assignments and opportunities for independent study. この授業は英語で実施する。 |
| 履修条件 | 1. English Communication Iは社会コミュニケーションサブメジャーコースの指定設置科目で、このサブメジャーを取る学生はEnglish Communication IIと共に履修しなければならない。2. 教職免許を取る学生はEnglish Communication IIと共に履修しなければならない。 3. その他の学生は、English Communication IとEnglish Communication IIの両方をI・IIの順で履修することが望ましい。前期のみまたは後期のみ履修することは可能ですが、特にEnglish Communication IIのみ履修する場合、担当教員と相談して下さい。 |

| 第4回 | Talking about last weekend, talking about and evaluating activities Focus on talking about the past, Presentation 1 assigned |
| 第5回 | Presentation 1: Past travel, using rubrics and giving feedback |
| 第6回 | Talking about food and drinks, explaining what you like and dislike |
| 第7回 | Inviting someone out, accepting and declining invitations, planning and confirming details |
| 第8回 | Ordering at a restaurant, asking for and giving the order, asking about menu items, paying and leaving |
| 第9回 | Going shopping, greeting the customer and asking for something, asking about color, size, and price |
| 第10回 | Presentation 2: Role-play/Interview (Theme to be decided by students) |
| 第11回 | Asking about and talking about jobs and types of work |
| 第12回 | Asking for and giving suggestions, providing extra information, accepting or rejecting recommendations |
