概要
学修到達目標 | The goals of this course are for students to improve their conversational fluency, academic writing skills and presentations skills. Students will gaining basic writing skills, complete a short paper or translate a paper to English, and present and discuss various topics. This course will prepare students for the annual CST conference (学術講演会) and other conferences. |

授業形態及び 授業方法 |
For 2022 this course is planned as a face-to-face (対面授業) course. This course is taught in a way to facilitate communication and networking among writers, presenters, and audiences. Participants will engage in the use of model papers, data-driven learning and collaborative analysis to improve their understanding of the writing process and their own papers. |

This course uses a conversational approach to improve speaking fluency and a data-driven, process approach to writing. Throughout the course, you will edit and improve your writings and presentations by learning the vocabulary and grammar structures that are used by native English speakers in your research area. |
授業計画
第1回 | Before class: Register online, and be prepared to introduce the topic of your research and state any deadlines for presentations or journal submissions. In class: Syllabus explanation, discussion of goals, discussion of current research projects and any deadlines, course survey, introduction to poster presentations After class: Prepare a basic poster presentation (60 minutes) |
