概要
学修到達目標 | Students will learn how to . . . (a) follow current trends, advancements, and innovations in science and technology through the medium of English. (b) use authentic English textual, audio, and video materials by themselves. (c) use appropriate English words, expressions, and grammatical forms to explain scientific definitions, descriptions, and relationships. (d) communicate scientific concepts, phenomena, and principles in effective ways involving social interaction through multimodal forms of communication, including (i) pictorial and graphic display, (ii) written and symbolic text, (iii) body movement and gesture, (iv) speech rhythm and tone of voice, (v) and perhaps other forms of communication relating to auditory, visual, gustatory, olfactory, and tactile information. |

授業形態及び 授業方法 |
This course is conducted in English. この授業は全て英語で実施する。 The Notes will be submitted by each individual student into the class homepage on Canvas (online) before the class period starts. Students who fail to submit their Notes before class may fail the course. Presentations will be done in-class (face-to-face) each week by small groups, pairs, or individuals to the whole class. Presentations for each week must be attempted by the time (sometime during the class period) that is assigned by the teacher. Students who fail to attempt giving their Presentation by the assigned time may fail the course. |

Average score of 15 in-class Presentations of 100 points = 100% final grade Presentations will be graded according to a rubric. Feedback will be given in-class (face-to-face) and through Canvas (online). Go to the class homepage on Canvas. Then click onto “Assignments.” For each of these, click onto “Grade” and then “Rubric.” 課題,評定, ルーブリック. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
