概要
学修到達目標 | The main goal is to improve your English. Due to the current coronavirus situation, in this course we with a focus on listening and short speeches. The goals of this course are for students to improve speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills as well as vocabulary. |

授業形態及び 授業方法 |
This course will be a hybrid (ハイブリッド) course, meeting face-to-face in odd weeks, e.g. 3, 5, 7, etc. Various listening, speaking, reading, writing, and vocabulary building activities will be done in individually and in small groups. この授業はは全て英語で実施する。English Communication I科目では英語発表を学びますが、TOEIC試験を受ける必要はありません。 |
履修条件 | 1. English Communication Iは社会コミュニケーションサブメジャーコースの指定設置科目で、このサブメジャーを取る学生はEnglish Communication IIと共に履修しなければならない。2. 教職免許を取る学生はEnglish Communication IIと共に履修しなければならない。 3. その他の学生は、English Communication IとEnglish Communication IIの両方をI・IIの順で履修することが望ましい。前期のみまたは後期のみ履修することは可能ですが、特にEnglish Communication IIのみ履修する場合、担当教員と相談して下さい。 |

成績評価の方法 及び基準 |
Writing tasks 20%, speaking tasks 30%, other activities 50% (vocabulary, listening, reading and quiz tasks) Each scored task will have a point value and grading critera posted. Scores and correct answers will be given. Some tasks will be scored credit/no credit, and on other tasks feedback will be given individually. On written tasks scores and feedback will be given on format, spelling, grammar, word usage, writing style, etc. |
